Join the 7-Day Belly Fit for Summer Challenge!!

So, I’m relaunching this popular challenge.

Since summer is right around the corner, this is the perfect time.

The challenge is free, and it starts June 1st!

Why “Belly Fit?”

If you’ve been a regular reader of my blog posts, you know that I’m all about losing fat around the middle.

Especially peri/menopause related belly fat.

That’s not only because I want you to fit into your favorite 20 year-old jeans (yes, that would be awesome!)

The biggest reason I’m so crazy about reducing belly fat, is that your health can be measured by your waistline.

Yup, your waistline.

Studies have shown that if your waistline is larger than half your height, you’re at a higher risk for all the big lifestyle illnesses.

That’s because belly fat is related to insulin resistance and stress.

Waist not weight

I know for a lot of you, losing weight is probably high up on your wish list.

And while that’s not a bad thing, I want you know that weight isn’t the best number to focus on.

At least not if being healthier or fitter are also goals.

In fact, focusing on weight has strong emotional ties, and may even demotivate you.

And, as you know, two people can weigh the same, but be in very different shape.

So, if better health and fitness are goals, then measure your WAIST, not your WEIGHT.

Waist circumference will tell you a whole lot more than weight.

And while you’re slimming your waistline, you’ll also be getting a whole lot of other benefits:

  • Stronger muscles and bones
  • Increased energy
  • Stronger emotional health
  • Less intense perimenopause symptoms like hot flashes, migraines, and heavy periods

The Challenge

My 7-day BELLY FIT CHALLENGE is to move your body AND de-stress every day for 7 days in a row.

Join my 7-Day Belly Fit Challenge

It’s a simply powerful way to start your summer.

So, for the first 7 days of June, you’ll receive a simple exercise/workout in you email inbox, that won’t take longer than 15 minutes to complete.

Each workout will be different, and will help you lose belly fat.

And that doesn’t mean it’s just a bunch of “core” exercises.

It means you’ll be doing a mix of strength (resistance) training, cardio, and calm, conscious movement.

And in addition to the physical workout, you’ll also get some of my favorite stress-relieving ideas.

Learning to calm your body and mind will be huge in helping you become more belly fit.

So, when the challenge is done, you’ll have lots of ideas to keep you going!

Before the Challenge

So, here’s a pre-challenge challenge for you:

Figure out where you can carve out 15 minutes in your day.

Will it be first thing in the morning, on your lunch hour, before dinner, after dinner… When works best for you?

Planning ahead is a huge part of succeeding, so find a time you know will work every day.

And another thing:

MEASURE your waistline.

You’ve got to know where you’re starting on June 1st.

Yes, the challenge is only 7 days, and of course you won’t lose ALL the inches you want in one week.

BUT the exercises and stress relievers that I’ll be sharing with you can be used for the coming weeks and months.

So, if you stay consistent, and keep going beyond the 7 days, before you know it, you’ll have lost inches!

Imagine yourself on August 31st, and how amazing you’ll feel knowing how far you’ve come over the summer.

Are you ready?

Let’s move forward together and get this done!!

How to create a weight-less identity

Losing weight can be a one-time thing.

Like after you’ve had kids, or losing the perimenopause belly.

But often, it’s a life-long thing.

Where it feels like most of your life you’ve been on some sort of diet, cleanse, workout routine…

All in the name of losing weight.

When it feels like a constant struggle, the struggle becomes part of you.

Your identity actually becomes that of someone who always “needs to lose weight.”

So, no matter how much action you take, you may not get results.

Until you shake this identity.

21-Day Belly Fit Self-Love Challenge

With Mother’s Day this coming Sunday…

I had an idea for a Challenge.

It’s been a while since I’ve offered a Challenge, so I thought, why not make it super exciting, and go bigger?

Since I don’t have my own mom around to spoil and celebrate, I thought I could spoil and celebrate YOU instead.

This Challenge is for YOU, especially if you need to become more of a priority in your own life.

Because, it’s definitely time that you feel important.

Not to mention worthy, beautiful, strong, bold, and at peace with who YOU are.

So, I’m challenging you to put yourself first for 21 days.

A wild ride of emotions this week

It’s been a surreal week.

Things seem to be changing every single hour.

I kind of feel like I’m on that roller coaster in the dark at Disney, with nothing to hold on to.

A wild ride of challenging emotions and uncertainty.

In addition to the emotions I’ve been having surrounding COVID-19, me and others that I care about have also had to deal with the shock and sadness of losing someone close to us.

A challenging time… Time for a challenge

This has been a hugely strange week for me and you and the whole planet.

All of us, world wide, are affected by this one health event.

And I know it can be scary.

For sure, if we watch the news too often, or project too far into the future what this could mean, we can definitely bring ourselves down.

So I think right now, the best thing we can do, is to shift our focus and keep our spirits lifted.

We’re all in the same uncertain boat, together.

And we need to support each other, even if it’s from afar, to keep ourselves healthy physically and emotionally.

Especially my community, who are mostly women like me, over 40, there’s a need to keep healthy.

Join my 10-Day Belly Fit Build-Up-to-Spring Challenge!

What a crazy winter it’s been here in Montreal!

We’ve had it all… Snow, ice, rain, sun and cold.

So I think it’s time to put it behind us, and move forward… To spring!

But, in addition to moving to spring, I want you to move forward, towards balancing your hormones in perimenopause.

And regular exercise can be a huge part of making that balance happen.

So to celebrate spring’s arrival and get into a better hormonal balance, I’ve created a new – and free – 10-day build-up to spring challenge!

It starts Tuesday, March 12th, and it will get you into the habit of daily exercise.

And of course, the exercises are all about getting you Belly Fit

That means that after 10 days, you’ll have an awesome workout that will help you lose belly fat, gain a stronger core, and feel a whole lot better through perimenopause.

Now, although this is a simple challenge, I promise it won’t be super easy!

The challenge is 10 days, 10 exercises.

Each day of the challenge, you’ll get a new exercise, and each day you’ll add that new exercise to the previous ones.

That’s the build-up part.

So on Day 1 –  easy-peasy – you’ll just have one exercise to do.

But on Day 10, the first official day of spring, you’ll have 10 exercises. (And a great full-body workout that you can re-use whenever you want!)

Now, you don’t need any special equipment for this challenge.

Just a little space, some comfortable clothes that you can move in, and a good pair of athletic shoes.

And, as usual, this challenge is free.

But I do have one ask of you.

Once you sign up, please send this email to at least one more person you’d like to do this challenge with.

Not only is it more fun with a friend, it’s usually a lot more successful when you’ve got an accountability buddy.

All you need to do to be part of this challenge, is click on the flower below and sign up.

Go ahead…

Within minutes of signing up, you’ll get a short email from me, welcoming you and explaining the challenge.

Then on Tuesday the 12th of March, you’ll get your first exercise.

So, are you ready to jump start your fitness, feel and get moving?

Then let’s do this together!

See you on the 12th,

Debbie

Expect more in 2019

“Don’t set your expectations too high, you’ll be setting yourself up for disappointment.”

Yikes!!

I’m sure you, like me, have heard this more than once… Am I right?

The problem is, for me, and maybe for you, I fell for it; hook, line, and sinker.

In fact, I’ve allowed this thought to hold me hostage in certain areas of my life.

It’s kept me from thinking too big, expecting help, and expecting I’ll succeed.

But when I really, consciously, think about it, what’s the big deal about having high expectations?

Join me for the 10-Day Build-Up-to-Spring Fitness Challenge!

I feel like it’s been quite a while since I launched a challenge.

But given the winter we’ve survived, I thought that we could all use a little kick in the pants to get moving.

If you’re anything like me, you need to have a goal or a challenge of some sort to make working out happen regularly.

And 10 days is a great start – not too short, not too long – to building a consistent exercise routine.

Now, although this is just a simple challenge, I promise it won’t be super easy.

But as with everything, it will be as challenging as you make it.

So, the challenge is 10 days, 10 exercises.

Each day of the challenge, you’ll get a new exercise, and each day you’ll add that new exercise to the previous ones.  That’s the build-up part.

So on Day 1 –  easy-peasy – you’ll just have one exercise to do.

But on Day 10, the official first day of spring, you’ll have 10 exercises. (And a great full-body workout that you can re-use whenever you want!)

See you on the 12th,

Debbie
